LINKDISK / YOUR DATA
Who decides where your files live and who can see them?
LinkDisk is being built for digital sovereignty: control over your files, their location and access to them. Here are our design commitments and the parts that still need production proof.
Will my files stay in Europe?
European hosting and processing are requirements for the production chain that LinkDisk manages. This includes storage, databases, backups and keys. A storage region is recorded explicitly; files must not move silently to another region. Final providers and locations have not been selected.
Who can see my files?
Access is meant to be granted explicitly for each Space. You choose read or edit for each person; an invitation to one Space does not open other Spaces. Users from another organization must not see yours. These boundaries are enforced technically and still need further qualification for public use.
Can I change storage providers?
LinkDisk designs a file layer that separates a file's identity from the storage provider behind it. This is intended to enable future moves or a customer-connected source without rebuilding your folders. A public export or migration feature is not available yet.
What happens when something goes wrong?
Acknowledged file versions must never disappear silently. Conflicts and uncertain uploads should remain visible until you choose how to recover. Encrypted managed storage and version recovery have development evidence; production backups, key custody and outage handling still need separate qualification.
